Please see below for information on arrests made by Mamba which came about due to the deployment of camera systems in the Edenvale area.
We successfully piloted the number plate recognition camera system in our area but were unable to move forward due to financial constraints.
The information has been posted on the Mamba Facebook page.  We are encouraging residents to follow and make use of the Mamba Facebook page as this helps to reduce any non security related chatter on the Whatsapp Security Group for Edenglen South.

ANOTHER ARREST THANKS TO MAMBA CRIME PREVENTION CAMERAS AT MAMBA ROAD CLOSURES

Mamba Security proudly connects Mamba Road Closures in Edenvale through a LPR Camera Network. We are able to receive alerts as wanted vehicles drive through Mamba Road Closures, and track them as the move through our network of LPR cameras in Edenvale.

This afternoon we received an alert that a white Corolla was flagged on the Mamba LPR SNIPR Camera at Isandovale Road Closure. The vehicle was listed as stolen. Mamba Units were dispatched and were informed that the vehicle was driving on Baker Road.

Area Manager, Brett, A.K.A “Chase”, stopped the vehicle at Horwoods Road. Edenvale SAPS arrived and confirmed that the vehicle was still listed as stolen. The driver was handed over to SAPS.

CHASE ENSUED AFTER FLAGGED VEHICLE WAS SPOTTED ON CRIME PREVENTION CAMERAS – 1 ARRESTED, MEADOWDALE

This morning our Mamba Team received a “Be on the Lookout” for a white VW Polo that was wanted for robbery and hijacking, flagged on crime prevention cameras.

Moments after, Mamba Area Manager, Brett, A.K.A “Chase”, saw the vehicle in St John Road, Hurlyvale, with 3 suspects inside. When the suspects saw Brett, they sped off. Brett gave chase down Minuach Road and called for backup on radio and WhatsApp.

The suspects drove towards Meadowdale. The vehicle was then spotted again on Brickfield Road.

Mamba along with other emergency services detained the vehicle until the Flying Squad arrived.
The vehicle was confirmed as being involved in a hijacking 2 weeks ago. One suspect was arrested, the other 2 had fled during the chase.

Well done to all involved in recovering the vehicle and apprehending the suspect.
