On Monday morning 11/2/2019 we will be sending an email to all Road Closure Contributors. If you are contributing and you or a member of your household do not receive this email, please notify us immediately with your name and address so we can send you a copy. Please check your junk folder first!
This email contains important information for all contributors so please take the time to read it.
To all people on our mail list who are not contributing – we will update you in about a week as to what is underway.
And on an unrelated topic –
State of road at Wagenaar/Palliser entrance.
For the last few months we have sent several emails to council department heads asking them to attend to the road. A trench was dug across the road to repair a burst water pipe and the road has not been rehabilitated properly. We have included updated photos of the state of the road in these emails. Heather Hart has also been complaining to these department heads. It appears that our requests/complaints are falling on deaf ears.
The Mamba guards have taken initiative and have tried to make some repairs but they do not have the proper equipment or materials and it is not their job to do this. This is council’s responsibility to repair properly.
Please can everyone who uses this entrance/exit call the call centre on this number and log a complaint – 0860 543 000. Perhaps if enough tickets are logged some priority will be given to this.
Remember to always maintain a high level of awareness, especially when you are leaving or entering your home/driveway. Please tell your family and domestic workers to also be on the lookout. Report all suspicious behaviour to Mamba control room (tel number below) and warn the residents using the Mamba Whatsapp Security Group and/or @ESRCAlert.
