We now have more information to report back to residents following yesterday’s incident. Mamba immediately flagged the suspects’ vehicle on all camera networks, and cameras in other areas were triggered. At this point, all resources, including CPF and SAPS, were used to track the vehicle but unfortunately no arrests were made. Our cameras, and the Mamba and CPF camera network throughout Edenvale are now continuously scanning for this vehicle. The resident’s handbag was found in a veld and was returned.Mamba arranged for the locks to be changed, stayed until the gate had been secured and offered trauma counselling if required. There was an issue raised on the Mamba group about the schools. Please be advised that there is NOTHING we can do about the location of our gates. When the Road Closure was set up 20 years ago, Council told us where our gates had to go, based on a traffic impact study, and the opening and closing times for each gate.If we change anything, we risk losing the Closure completely, and all perimeter gates and fences will have to come down. –Remember to always maintain a high level of awareness, especially when you are leaving or entering your home/driveway. Please tell your family and domestic workers to also be on the lookout. Report all suspicious behaviour to Mamba control room (tel number below) and warn the residents using the Mamba Whatsapp Security Group.
