Many of the questions raised e.g. boundaries between closures, financials, crime stats, benefits of closures, recyclers, legality of operations, communication, alerts, responsibilities of committee are covered in our welcome letter to new residents. This letter has been distributed to our mail community on several occasions. Please take the time to review the attached document.
A key point was that the committees can’t do everything themselves and that residents can help by discussing the closure with new arrivals and talking to their neighbour if they are not contributing (they will not have a contributor sign on their wall or gate).
If you reside in a complex then the contribution issue can be taken up by yourself with the Body Corporate.
We will distribute the minutes of the meeting once they are published.
