Dear Edenglen South Road Closure Members

We would like to thank so many of the ESRC homeowners members for making the time and trouble to attend last week’s AGM.  The committee was regretfully caught off sides by the sheer number of homeowners who attended.

We as a committee wish to apologise for the following:

  • The number of homeowners who attended the meeting far exceeded expectations with the result that the venue was inadequate to cater and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.  By far the most people who have attended ever over the last 15 years so it was very hard to gauge and plan accordingly.
  • The AGM is primarily for the contributing members who have voting rights at any meeting or survey and secondarily for non contributing members to come and see what the closure is all about.  Only the residents of Edenglen South were invited to attend.  Unfortunately several uninvited people and security companies attended and caused interruptions from the focus of the meeting.  This meant that legitimate attendees were turned away at the door because there was no space for them so we also apologise for this.

We are grateful to our paying homeowners for some very valuable input in order to improve our declining membership position and assure you that your committee will certainly be following up on these suggestions.  We are also appreciative to those homeowners who have agreed to put peer pressure on their neighbours who have not joined the closure membership to really consider doing so.

Thanks once again to all paying members for your solid support.

Yours faithfully
Edenglen South Road Closure Committee
