At our next residents meeting in September (date to be confirmed) Des Kelly and myself will be retiring from the Road Closure Committee.  After a combined 36 years of service we feel it is now time for a change and for new members to bring some fresh thinking to the Committee and the Closure.

While Des is retiring from the Committee he will continue to manage our accounts, debit run and the operational finances.
Some of the Committee members share or have multiple portfolios and we think it is best that these accountabilities be split and the size of the Committee membership should be increased.
The Committee should therefore consist of the following portfolios –
Vice Chair
Communications  (send out general email notices and deal with residents queries)
Security (liaise with our security provider and monitor performance)
Maintenance (liaise with our technician to ensure faults are identified and repaired)
Finance (set and monitor budgets)
General members (gets involved across multiple portfolios depending on the need).
If you want to get involved in the Closure and become a Committee member please contact me as soon as possible.
Please note that the necessary procedures will be followed to ensure suitability of potential new members.  Applicants must be a resident in Edenglen South and be a contributor to the Closure.
Remember to always maintain a high level of awareness, especially when you are leaving or entering your home/driveway.  Please tell your family and domestic workers to also be on the lookout.  Report all suspicious behaviour to Mamba control room (tel number below) and warn the residents using the Mamba Whatsapp Security Group and/or @ESRCAlert.
