Many thanks for the responses to our request for residents to help with the inspection of the infrastructure.
We still require help for the gate at Palliser/Van der Walt.
In the past three weeks four people have driven into the booms and have caused serious damage each time. We do have video footage of these incidents and the relevant people are being asked to pay for damages. However, payment is not always forthcoming.
We are seriously asking residents to be careful when entering and exiting the area. The Road Closure can ill-afford to continually pay for these unnecessary incidents.
The ESRC now has a dedicated Whatsapp number. We will not be setting up any chat groups but are happy to discuss any issues with residents.
Please send a Whatsapp to us on 064 060 8762 should you wish to bring up any issues and a committee member will contact you. No calls will be taken on this number.
We have spoken with Charmaine from Kwakhona Recyclers. She has been collecting from some residents on a Friday but has asked us to inform all residents that she is able to collect more.
Tins and plastic should be put into one bag and paper and cardboard into another. Black or clear plastic bags can be used.
Bags must be put out no later than 8am on a Friday.
Remember to always maintain a high level of awareness, especially when you are leaving or entering your home/driveway. Please tell your family and domestic workers to also be on the lookout. Report all suspicious behaviour to Mamba control room (tel number below) and warn the residents using the Mamba Whatsapp Security Group.
