Mamba Report *Stay Safe Alert* At approximately 19:45 last night a vehicle entered the road closure and stopped and asked our guard Mashudu for directions. At this point in time nothing suspicious was happening as guards are often asked for directions. Mashudu gladly assisted when suddenly he was attacked from behind. He was hit on his head with a firearm. This dazed and confused him. He was suddenly forced into the vehicle. His panic remote and radio were taken from him before he had the opportunity to call for help. The suspects then proceeded to break into a property in Wagenaar Street by derailing the gate. When the suspects entered the property, Mashudu managed to escape out of the vehicle and run and call for assistance. No alarm was received from this premises during the incident. The Mamba clients were attacked and various items stolen. A panic signal was only received once the suspects had left. Once the Control Centre received the panic, the dedicated vehicle responded within 2 minutes. A Mamba Area Supervisor and an additional backup vehicle from Eastleigh were also on scene. The Emer-G-Med TacMed vehicle as well as an ambulance was dispatched to treat both the victims of this crime as well as Mashudu. Camera footage is being reviewed to identify the vehicle as well as the suspects. Once this has been done the licence plate will be added to the camera LPR network so that should the vehicle enter the area again the Control Centre will be immediately alerted. Mashudu has been booked off work while having his injuries treated and receiving trauma counselling. Trauma counselling has also been offered to the victims. We strongly recommend that you consider installing a gate motor alarm kit, which will alert Mamba should anybody try and derail your gate. If you see any suspicious behavior do not hesitate to contact Mamba on the Emergency number(011) 609 – 0227

Remember to always maintain a high level of awareness, especially when you are leaving or entering your home/driveway.  Please tell your family and domestic workers to also be on the lookout.  Report all suspicious behaviour to Mamba control room (tel number below) and warn the residents using the Mamba Whatsapp Security Group.
